From Eisenstadt city center, head to the Eisenstadt Hauptbahnhof (main train station). Take bus line 1 towards Sankt Margarethen. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Sankt Margarethen - Kirche' stop. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to Römersteinbruch. Head southeast on Hauptstraße, then turn left onto Römerstraße, which will lead you directly to the entrance of Römersteinbruch.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, start from the Eisenstadt center at the Franz-Liszt-Platz. Head north on Hauptstraße towards the castle. Continue straight onto the B50 road, which leads you out of the city. It’s about a 5 km walk to Römersteinbruch. Follow the signs for Sankt Margarethen. After about an hour, you will reach Römersteinbruch, located just off the road.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle in Eisenstadt and start from the center. Head north on Hauptstraße and then take the bike path along the B50 road towards Sankt Margarethen. The ride is approximately 5 km and will take around 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive in Sankt Margarethen, follow the signs to Römersteinbruch, which is easily accessible from the main road.
