Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Flachgau and head towards the A1 motorway. Merge onto A1 in the direction of Salzburg. After approximately 20 km, take the exit toward Salzburg Nord. Continue on B1 and follow signs for Salzburg Zentrum. Once in the city, follow signs to the Altstadt (Old Town) area. The Friedrich Schiller Statue is located at 5020 Salzburg, which can be accessed by parking in one of the nearby parking garages, such as the Altstadtgarage or the Mirabellgarage, which charge a fee of approximately €2 per hour.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a regional train from Flachgau to Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station). The train journey takes about 30 minutes. From the station, exit and take tram line 1 or 3 towards 'Salzburg Altstadt'. Get off at the 'Friedhof Stiftung' stop. From there, it’s a short walk to the statue located at 5020 Salzburg. Please note that the tram ticket costs around €2.50 for a single journey.
Walking
If you are already in the city of Salzburg, you can also walk to the Friedrich Schiller Statue. From the Mirabell Palace, walk towards the Salzach River and cross the bridge. Once across, head straight on Makartsteg until you reach the intersection with Franz-Josef-Strasse. Turn right, and then left onto Sigmund-Haffner-Gasse. Continue straight until you reach the statue at 5020 Salzburg. The walk should take about 15-20 minutes.
