If you're driving from central Flachgau, take the A1 motorway towards Salzburg. Exit at 'Salzburg West' and follow the signs for 'Salzburg Stadt'. Once in the city, follow the signs to the city center (Zentrum). After entering the city center, find parking near the Mirabell Palace (Mirabellgarten), as there are several parking garages available. From the parking garage, it is a 10-minute walk to the Herbert Von Karajan Statue, located at Makartsteg, 5020 Salzburg. Head east towards the Salzach river and cross the bridge to reach the statue.

From Flachgau, take a regional train or bus to Salzburg. Trains leave regularly from various towns in Flachgau. Once you arrive at Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), exit and head to the bus terminal. From there, take bus line 1 or 3 towards 'Mirabellplatz'. Get off at the 'Mirabellplatz' stop. The Herbert Von Karajan Statue is a short 10-minute walk from there. Walk towards the Salzach river, cross the bridge, and you will see the statue at Makartsteg.
