From the center of Gesäuse National Park, head towards the B146 road. Follow the B146 northbound for approximately 12 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for the L731. Turn right onto L731 and continue for about 8 kilometers. You will see signs for Hochwilde; follow these signs until you reach the parking area near the base of the mountain. Parking may incur a fee, typically around €5 per day.
