If you are near the Graz Opera House (Oper Graz), head southeast on Opernring toward Kaiser-Josef-Platz. Continue straight until you reach the traffic lights, then cross the street. As you walk, you will see the beautiful buildings of the city. Once you reach the intersection, turn left onto Kaiser-Josef-Platz. Continue straight until you reach Hauptplatz der Stadt Graz, which is a large open square where you can see the impressive architecture.

From Graz Hauptbahnhof (the main train station), take tram line 1 or 7 towards 'Graz, Jakominiplatz'. Get off at the Jakominiplatz stop. From there, head northwest on Jakoministraße toward the Stadtpark. After a short walk, you will see a sign directing you toward Hauptplatz der Stadt Graz. Continue walking straight until you reach the square.

If you are near the Graz Town Hall (Rathaus Graz), exit the building and turn right onto Rathausplatz. Walk straight for about 200 meters until you reach the corner of the square. From the Graz Airport, take bus line 630 towards Graz, Jakominiplatz. The bus will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Jakominiplatz, transfer to tram line 1 or 7 and head towards Hauptplatz der Stadt Graz. Get off at the Hauptplatz stop, and you will find yourself right in the square.
