Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Grossglockner. Take the B107 road towards the Grossglockner High Alpine Road (Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse). You'll need to pay a toll to access this scenic road, which is approximately €37 for cars (prices may vary, check local signs). Drive along this road for about 25 kilometers until you reach the parking area near the Leiterfall waterfall. The parking area is well-marked and offers a stunning view of the surrounding mountains.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from the Grossglockner area to Heiligenblut. Buses run regularly, and you can check the schedule at the local tourist information center. Once in Heiligenblut, you may need to take a taxi to reach the Leiterfall. Confirm the taxi fare with the driver beforehand; it should be around €15-€20 for a short ride. The taxi will take you directly to the waterfall, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and are already in the vicinity, you can hike to Leiterfall from the nearest parking area. The hike is approximately 2 kilometers and should take around 30-40 minutes.
