If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Gurktal. Head northwest on the main road (B93) towards Maria Saal. Continue for approximately 15 km until you reach the town of Maria Saal. Once you arrive in Maria Saal, follow the signs for 'Kärntner Freilichtmuseum,' which will direct you to Museumweg. The museum is located at Museumweg 10, 9063 Maria Saal. There is a parking area available at the museum.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Gurktal to Klagenfurt. From Klagenfurt Central Station, board bus line 51 towards Maria Saal. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the 'Maria Saal, Kirche' stop. From there, it is a short 10-15 minute walk to the museum. Head northeast on Hauptstraße, then take a left onto Museumweg. The museum will be on your right at Museumweg 10.
