Getting There

Train
From Hallstatt, walk to the Hallstatt train station, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the center of Hallstatt. Follow the main road along the lake until you see the train station. Take a train towards Obertraun, and it will take about 10 minutes. Once you arrive at Obertraun station, exit the train.

Cable Car
After exiting the train at Obertraun station, walk to the Dachstein Krippenstein cable car station, which is about a 20-minute walk from the train station. Follow the signs leading to the cable car station. When you arrive, purchase a ticket and take the cable car to the top. The ride will take approximately 15 minutes.

Hiking
Upon reaching the top of the cable car, follow the signs directing you to 5 Fingers. The hike to the observation deck takes around 30 minutes. The trail is well-marked and offers stunning views. Follow the path that leads you towards the 5 Fingers platform, where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Dachstein region.
