Public Bus
From Hallstatt, walk to the nearest bus stop named 'Hallstatt, Bahnhof' (the train station). You can reach the train station by following the main road from the town center towards the lake, then turning left at the fork. At the bus stop, take bus number 150 towards Werfen. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Get off at the 'Werfen' bus stop, then follow the signs towards the Eisriesenwelt. The entrance is about a 30-minute walk uphill from the bus stop, along Eishöhlenstraße.

Start at Hallstatt's train station (Hallstatt, Bahnhof) by walking along the main road from the town center to the station. Take a train towards Salzburg and change at 'Bischofshofen' for a train to 'Werfen'. The total travel time is around 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Werfen station, exit and follow the road signs to the Eisriesenwelt. It's about a 40-minute walk from the station to the entrance, primarily uphill along Eishöhlenstraße.
