Walking
Starting from the Hallstatt Market Square (Marktplatz), head towards the lakefront. As you walk, you will see a path leading directly to the lake. Follow this path, which will take you past charming shops and cafes. Once you reach the waterfront, continue walking along the promenade until you reach the boathouses. They are located right on the water's edge, offering picturesque views of the lake and mountains.

If you are at the Hallstatt train station, exit the station and walk towards the main road (B166). Turn right and follow the road downhill towards the village. As you enter Hallstatt, you will see signs directing you to the lake. Follow the signs to the market square, and from there, proceed to the waterfront as described above.

From the Hallstatt Salt Mine funicular station, take the steps down towards the village. Once you reach the bottom, turn right and continue walking until you arrive at the Market Square. From there, head towards the lakefront and follow the promenade to the boathouses.
