From the center of Hallstatt, head towards the Hallstatt train station, which is located at the northern end of the village. Once you reach the station, walk towards the main road (B166) and follow the signs for Obertraun. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach Obertraun. Continue walking along the main road for another 1.5 kilometers until you see a sign for Koppenbrüller Cave. The cave entrance is located at Winkl 34, which is just a short walk from the main road.

From Hallstatt, walk to the Hallstatt train station. At the station, catch the local bus that heads towards Obertraun. The bus ride will take about 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Obertraun stop, disembark and follow the signs for Koppenbrüller Cave, which is within walking distance (approximately 1 kilometer) from the bus stop. You will find the cave entrance at Winkl 34.
