From the center of Hallstatt, head towards the lakeside promenade. Walk along the promenade until you reach the end of the waterfront area. Continue straight ahead, following the path that leads you up towards Gaiswandweg. This will be a slight incline. As you walk, look for signs that indicate the direction to Gaiswandweg. Once you reach Gaiswandweg, turn left. Follow Gaiswandweg for about 500 meters. You will see Marienruhe on your right, marked by its distinctive signage.

If you are starting from the Hallstatt train station, exit the station and head towards the main road. Turn left and follow the road towards the village center. Once you reach the center, follow the directions for the lakeside promenade. After reaching the promenade, follow the same route as described above to reach Marienruhe.
