Walking

From the center of Hallstatt, head towards the Hallstatt train station. Once you reach the station, follow the signs towards Obertraun. You will walk along the lakeside path which offers beautiful views of the lake and mountains. Continue for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the bridge leading to Obertraun. Cross the bridge, and after crossing, take a left onto the main road (Schildlehenstraße). Follow this road for about 1.5 kilometers. You will see signs for 'Treppe ins Nichts' which will guide you to your destination.
Public Transport - Bus

From the Hallstatt center, walk to the Hallstatt train station. Wait for the bus that goes to Obertraun (Bus line 543). The bus ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Get off at the 'Obertraun, Bahnhof' stop. From there, walk along the main road (Schildlehenstraße) for about 1 kilometer, and you will see the signs for 'Treppe ins Nichts' leading you to the observation deck.
Bicycle Rental
