Start from Hallstatt's main square (Marktplatz). Head northwest towards the lakefront and take a left onto Rathausstraße. Continue walking until you reach the signpost for Salzberg. Follow the signs for Salzberg, which will lead you up the hill. The path will be steep, so take your time. After approximately 15-20 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the entrance of the Salzberg cable car station. Take the cable car up to the Salzberg and enjoy the views as you ascend. Once you reach the top station, exit the cable car and follow the signs for Barbarakapelle, which is about a 10-minute walk from the top station. The chapel is located at Salzberg 16, 4830 Hallstatt.
