Start at the center of Hallstatt, near the market square (Marktplatz). Head south on the main road (Lahnstraße) toward the lake. Follow the promenade until you reach the end at the Obersee area, where you will find the sign for Hallstattblick. From the Hallstatt train station, take the bus towards Bad Goisern. The bus stop is located right outside the train station. Ride the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the 'Obersee' stop.
