From the center of Hallstatt, where the Market Square is located, head towards the lakeside by following the path leading towards the waterfront. You can start by walking down the main street, which is called 'Seestraße'. Continue along this street as it curves around and leads directly to the edge of Hallstätter See. As you walk, you will see beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. It takes approximately 10-15 minutes to reach the lakeshore.

If you're looking for a scenic route, you can take a small boat ride from the Hallstatt ferry terminal. The terminal is located near the center of Hallstatt, close to the salt mine.
