Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Hallstatt Market Square, head south towards the waterfront. You will see the beautiful view of the lake on your left. Continue walking along the lakefront promenade until you reach the end of the promenade. At the end, turn right onto the path that leads upwards toward the village. Follow the signs that indicate the way to the cemetery and the St. Michael Chapel. You will climb a series of steps and paths that will take you through the picturesque village. Continue until you reach the entrance of the Hallstatt Cemetery, where the chapel is located. St. Michael Chapel is situated within the cemetery grounds, so you can easily spot it once you arrive.
