Car
If you are driving from the center of Hochkönig, head northeast on the B164 towards Mühlbach am Hochkönig. Continue on B164 for approximately 12 kilometers until you reach the junction with the A10 Autobahn. Merge onto A10 towards Salzburg. After about 30 kilometers, take exit 2 for Salzburg West. Continue on the B150 towards Salzburg city center. Follow signs for Salzburg Innenstadt until you arrive at Mozartpl. 1, where the Salzburg Museum is located. Parking is available nearby at various garages.
Public Transportation
To reach the Salzburg Museum by public transport from Hochkönig, take a bus from Mühlbach am Hochkönig station to Bischofshofen. From Bischofshofen, transfer to the train heading to Salzburg Hauptbahnhof. Once you arrive at Salzburg Hauptbahnhof, exit the station and take bus line 1 or 2 towards the city center. Get off at the stop 'Mozartplatz' and walk a short distance to Mozartpl. 1, where the Salzburg Museum is located. The entire journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on connections.
