If you are driving, start by heading towards the village of Heiligenblut. From the center of Heiligenblut, follow the signs to the Großglockner High Alpine Road (Großglockner Hochalpenstraße). The road is a toll road, and the fee is approximately €38 for a car. Continue on this scenic route, which is open from early May to late October, depending on weather conditions. After about 14 kilometers, you will reach the Pasterze Glacier parking area. From there, you will need to walk approximately 30 minutes to reach the Gletscher Pasterze itself.
