Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Kaprun. Head southeast on Brucker Bundesstraße/B156 towards the junction for Mooserbodenstraße. After approximately 3 kilometers, turn left onto Mooserbodenstraße. Continue on this road for about 10 kilometers, which will lead you to the Mooserboden parking area. Please note that access to the reservoir is restricted to vehicles authorized by the local authorities, so ensure you check beforehand if you need a special permit.

  For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Kaprun to the Mooserboden area. Begin at the Kaprun bus terminal and board the bus heading towards 'Mooserboden.' The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes.
