From Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take the Regional train (RE) towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The train departs every hour. Get off at the Ettal station, which takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Ettal station, walk straight for approximately 15 minutes to reach Ettal Abbey, located at Kaiser-Ludwig-Platz 1. You can follow the signs towards the village center, and the abbey will be on your left.

From Innsbruck, take the bus route 4165 from the central bus station (Busbahnhof) towards Oberammergau. The journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Ettal Kloster', which is directly in front of Ettal Abbey. The abbey is just a short walk from the bus stop.

Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Innsbruck and cycle towards Ettal. The route is approximately 25 km and takes about 1.5 hours. Head out of Innsbruck towards the west on the B171 road, following signs for Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Once you reach Ettal, follow the signs to Kaiser-Ludwig-Platz. The abbey will be on your right.
