Bus
From Innsbruck, head to the Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof (main train station). Once there, find the bus station adjacent to the train station. Look for bus line 304, which travels towards Lenggries. Purchase a ticket from the ticket machine or the bus driver. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride, which takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Lenggries' stop. From there, Sylvensteinsee is about a 20-minute walk. Head south on Bahnhofstraße, turn right onto Am Sportplatz, and follow the signs leading to the lake.
Train and Bus
Start at Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof and take a train towards Munich. Get off at the 'Lenggries' train station. From there, you will need to transfer to bus line 304. Look for the bus stop just outside the train station. Board the bus and head towards Sylvensteinsee. The bus ride will take about 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Sylvensteinsee' stop, and you will be right at the lake.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Innsbruck. Start at the city center and follow the Inn River bike path heading east. Continue along the path until you reach the area of Schwaz, then follow local signs directing you towards Lenggries and Sylvensteinsee. The journey is approximately 40 kilometers and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and countryside. It may take around 3 to 4 hours depending on your pace.
