Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Kaisergebirge and head towards Jenbach. From Kaisergebirge, take the B181 road southbound. Continue on B181 for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the junction for B170. Follow the signs for B170 towards Jenbach. After about 5 kilometers, you'll reach the town of Jenbach. Look for signs directing you to Tratzberg Castle, which is located at Tratzberg 1, 6200 Jenbach. There is a parking lot available near the castle, but be aware that there may be a parking fee.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by taking a train from Kaisergebirge to Jenbach. Check the local train schedule for departures, as trains may run hourly. Once you arrive at Jenbach station, exit the station and look for the bus stop. Take the bus number 12 or 15 which will take you directly to Tratzberg Castle. The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Be sure to have some cash on hand for the bus fare, which is usually around €2-€3.
Walking from Jenbach
If you prefer to walk from Jenbach, it's about a 30-minute trek to Tratzberg Castle. From the Jenbach train station, head east on Bahnhofstraße. Continue straight until you reach the main road and follow the signs for Tratzberg Castle. It's a scenic route, but be prepared for a bit of uphill walking as you approach the castle. Ensure you're wearing comfortable shoes, as the terrain can be uneven.
