Car
If you're driving, head to Scharnitz, a small town in the Karwendel Mountains. From the center of Scharnitz, follow the signs towards the Karwendel Nature Park. Drive along the main road until you reach the parking area near the entrance to the park. The parking fee is approximately €5 for a day. Once you park your car, you'll need to walk towards the trailhead that leads to Grabenkarspitze.
Public Transportation
To reach Scharnitz via public transportation, take a train to Innsbruck, then transfer to a regional train or bus heading to Scharnitz. The train ride from Innsbruck to Scharnitz takes about 30-40 minutes. Upon arrival in Scharnitz, follow the signs toward the Karwendel Nature Park. From the bus/train station, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the trailhead leading to Grabenkarspitze.
Hiking
Once at the trailhead, you will embark on a hiking trail that will lead you to Grabenkarspitze. The hike is moderately challenging and takes approximately 3-4 hours to reach the summit. Make sure to have proper hiking gear and sufficient water. Follow the marked trails, and look out for signs indicating the direction to Grabenkarspitze.
