If you are driving from Kitzbühel, head southwest on B170 towards the town of St. Johann in Tirol. Continue on B170 for about 20 kilometers until you reach the roundabout in St. Johann. Take the second exit onto B178 towards Walchsee. Follow B178 for approximately 10 kilometers, and you will see signs for Walchsee. Turn left onto the road leading into the village and continue until you reach the lake, which will be on your right.
Public Transportation
To get to Walchsee using public transportation, start at the Kitzbühel train station. Take the train to St. Johann in Tirol, which is a short 15-minute ride. Once you arrive at St. Johann, exit the train station and look for the bus stop. Board the bus number 400 towards Walchsee. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Walchsee' stop, and you will find the lake just a short walk from there.
