Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, head towards Krimml Waterfalls from the nearest major road. Once you're in Krimml, follow the signs for the Krimml Waterfalls and park at the designated parking area. From the parking lot, take the trail that leads you up the mountain towards the waterfalls. The hike to Bergerblick will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your pace. Make sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water. There is no admission fee for the trail, but parking may incur a cost of around €5-€10 for the day.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Bergerblick via public transport, take a train to the nearest station at Krimml. From there, board the local bus (Line 670) that goes to the Krimml Waterfalls stop. The bus ride takes about 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive at the bus stop, follow the signs to the waterfall trail. The hike to Bergerblick will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Remember to check the bus schedule ahead of time as it may vary seasonally, and keep some change handy for the bus fare, which is typically around €3-€5.

• Hiking

  For those who are already at the base of the Krimml Waterfalls, the hike to Bergerblick is well-marked. Follow the trail that leads up alongside the waterfalls. You'll encounter several viewpoints along the way, but keep heading up until you reach the observation deck at Bergerblick, which is at an elevation of 1390m. The hike can be steep in parts, so take your time and enjoy the stunning views of the waterfalls. It’s advisable to bring snacks and water, as there are no facilities on the trail.
