Getting there

Tram

From the main train station (Linz Hauptbahnhof), take tram line 1 towards 'Pöstlingberg'. The tram stop is located directly outside the station. Stay on the tram for about 25 minutes. You will need to get off at the 'Pöstlingberg' stop, which is the last stop on the line. Once you exit the tram, walk up the path towards 'Am Pöstlingberg'. The Grottenbahn is located at Am Pöstlingberg 16, just a short walk from the tram stop.

Bus

From the main square (Hauptplatz), head to the bus stop 'Hauptplatz'. Take bus number 50 towards 'Pöstlingberg'. The journey will take about 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Pöstlingberg' stop. After exiting the bus, follow the signs for 'Grottenbahn', and it will be a 10-minute walk up the hill to Am Pöstlingberg 16.

Walking

If you are near the city center, you can also walk to Grottenbahn. Start at the main square (Hauptplatz) and head up to the 'Pöstlingberg' hill. Follow the road signs for 'Pöstlingberg'. The walk will take approximately 40-50 minutes uphill, so be prepared for a bit of a hike. Once you reach the top, you will find Grottenbahn at Am Pöstlingberg 16.

Funicular

From the 'Pöstlingberg' tram stop, you can also take the Pöstlingbergbahn funicular railway. This funicular will take you directly up the hill to the Pöstlingberg area. The funicular station is right next to the tram stop. Once you arrive at the top, Grottenbahn is just a short walk away at Am Pöstlingberg 16.
