If you are in the city center of Linz, start at Hauptplatz (Main Square). From there, head southeast towards Landstraße, which is the main shopping street. Continue walking along Landstraße until you reach the junction with Schmidtgasse. Turn left into Schmidtgasse and continue straight until you reach the end of the street. Then, turn right onto Schlossbergstraße. Follow Schlossbergstraße up the hill until you reach Schlossberg 1, where the Oktagonaler Brunnen is located.
Public Transport
From Linz Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station), take tram line 1 or 2 towards 'Dornach' or 'Auwiesen'. Get off at the 'Landstraße' stop. From there, walk southeast towards the main shopping street, Landstraße. Follow the instructions for walking from Hauptplatz to reach Schlossberg 1 where the Oktagonaler Brunnen is located.
