Getting There

Walking
From the center of Urfahr, head south towards the Linz city center. Walk along the main road, Hauptstraße, which will lead you directly towards the Danube River. Once you reach the riverbank, follow the riverside path heading east. Enjoy the scenic view of the river and the city. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will see the iconic Linzer Mariendom rising in the distance. Continue walking until you reach Herrenstraße 26, where the cathedral is located.

Public Transport - Tram
If you prefer to take public transport, you can catch Tram Line 1 from the Urfahr tram station. Board the tram heading towards 'Auwiesen'. After about 10 minutes, disembark at the 'Landstraße' stop. From there, you will see signs pointing towards the Linzer Mariendom. Walk along Landstraße for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at Herrenstraße 26, where the cathedral is located. Note that a single ticket for the tram costs around €2.20.

Alternatively, you can take Bus Line 27 from the Urfahr bus station. Board the bus heading towards 'Linz, Landstraße'. The journey takes approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Kaiserstraße/Hauptplatz' stop. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to Linzer Mariendom. Walk east along Kaiserstraße, then turn left onto Herrenstraße, and you will find the cathedral at number 26. A single bus ticket also costs about €2.20.
