Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards the town of Puchberg am Schneeberg. From Vienna, take the A2 motorway and then the S6 towards Puchberg. Follow the signs to the Schneeberg cable car station. You can park your car at the designated parking area near the cable car station. Please note that parking might incur a fee, typically around €5 for the day.
Public Transportation
To reach Gipfelkreuz Hochschneeberg via public transport, take a train from Vienna to Puchberg am Schneeberg. The journey takes about an hour. From the Puchberg train station, you can walk to the Schneeberg cable car station, which is approximately a 20-minute walk (about 1.5 km). Once at the cable car station, purchase a ticket to ride the cable car up to the Schneeberg. The cable car fare is around €20 for a round trip.
Hiking
For those who are feeling adventurous, after arriving at the Schneeberg cable car station, you can hike to Gipfelkreuz Hochschneeberg. The hike is approximately 1.5 km from the top of the cable car station and takes about 30 to 45 minutes. The trail is well-marked but be sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry water.
