Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards Vienna (Wien) from anywhere in Lower Austria. Use the A1 or A2 motorways, which connect various towns in Lower Austria to Vienna. Once you reach the city center, follow signs for Innere Stadt and Herrengasse. Palais Niederösterreich is located at Herrengasse 13. There is limited parking in the area, so be prepared to find a parking garage nearby. Expect to pay parking fees, which can vary depending on the duration of your stay.

• Train

  For those opting for public transportation, take a regional train (S-Bahn or ÖBB) to Vienna. Major stations such as St. Pölten, Krems, or Tulln have regular services to Vienna's main train station (Wien Hauptbahnhof). From the main station, take the U1 subway line in the direction of Stephansplatz. At Stephansplatz, transfer to the U3 line and get off at the Herrengasse station. From there, it’s a short walk to Herrengasse 13. Train tickets cost approximately €10-15 depending on your departure point.

  You can also take a bus to Vienna from various towns in Lower Austria. Check the schedule for buses that head to Wien, arriving at the main bus terminal or directly in the city center. From the bus station, use the U-Bahn or trams to reach Herrengasse. Buses typically charge a fare comparable to trains, around €10-15.

• Taxi/Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct method, consider taking a taxi or using a rideshare service from your current location in Lower Austria directly to Palais Niederösterreich. This is the most convenient option but also the most expensive. Fares will vary based on your starting point but expect to pay upwards of €50 for a longer distance.
