From Vienna, take a train to Wiener Neustadt, then transfer to a regional train to Puchberg am Schneeberg. From Puchberg, take the Schneebergbahn cog railway up to Hochschneeberg. From the mountain station, the Fischerhütte is a 60 to 80-minute walk. Train fare from Vienna to Puchberg: Approximately €20-30. Schneebergbahn round trip: Approximately €41.

Drive to Puchberg am Schneeberg and park near the Schneebergbahn valley station. Parking fees range from €5-€10 per day. Take the Schneebergbahn cog railway up to Hochschneeberg.
