Haydn-Haus: A Glimpse into the Composer's Life

Step back in time at the Haydn-Haus in Eisenstadt, the former residence of the celebrated composer Joseph Haydn. The exhibition features original portraits, personal letters, musical scores, and instruments, including an Anton Walter fortepiano from 1780.Visitors can also experience Haydn's music through multimedia exhibits and sound installations. The museum showcases the importance of Haydn's work, including his piano music, string quartets, and oratorios. Don't miss the original organ console from the Bergkirche and a copy of the Harmoniemesse, highlighting Haydn's contribution to church music.The Haydn-Haus also boasts a charming herb garden, inspired by Baroque traditions, with aromatic herbs, medicinal plants, and ornamental flowers.
