Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Vienna, take a train from Wien Hauptbahnhof (main station) to Neusiedl am See. Trains run hourly and the journey takes about 40 minutes, costing between €10-€14. From Neusiedl am See, take bus number 285 or 286 to Rust. Note that not every bus goes directly to Rust, so a change in Eisenstadt may be necessary. A single bus fare is approximately €3-€5.

  • Driving

    From Vienna, take the A4 motorway to the Neusiedl am See exit. The drive takes approximately 50 minutes. Follow signs to Rust. Paid parking is available at Seebad Rust from April to October. Parking is free for the first hour, then costs €3.00 for up to 2 hours, €3.50 for up to 3 hours, €4.00 for up to 5 hours, €5.00 for up to 12 hours, and €6.00 for up to 24 hours.
