Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the center of Pinzgau. Head onto the B311 road towards Werfen. Follow the B311 for approximately 30 kilometers. As you approach Werfen, take the exit towards Werfen and continue on the local roads. Follow signs for Kummetstein. As you near the destination, you will be driving through scenic landscapes and can park at designated areas nearby. Please note that parking might incur a small fee, typically around €5 per day.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, begin at the nearest train station in Pinzgau. Take a train towards Werfen; the journey will take roughly 20-30 minutes depending on the service. Once you arrive at Werfen train station, exit and look for local buses heading towards Kummetstein. Bus lines may vary, so it's advisable to check the local schedule ahead of time. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Ensure you have some cash for the bus fare, which should be around €3-€5.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk, and if you are already in Werfen, you can take a scenic hike to Kummetstein. From the Werfen train station, follow the hiking trails leading towards Kummetstein. The walk is about 4 kilometers and should take around 1 hour. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the trails can be steep and require a moderate level of fitness.
