Getting there

Public Transport

From Zell am See, take bus #680 towards Saalbach. Get off at the Hinterglemm Zentrum stop. From there, it's approximately a 15-minute walk west along Schwarzacherweg to the Westgipfelbahn valley station. A single bus fare from Zell am See to Hinterglemm is approximately €6-8. Alternatively, the Guest Mobility Ticket, provided by accommodations in the region, allows free use of public transport.

Walking

From the center of Hinterglemm, head west on Schwarzacherweg. The Westgipfelbahn valley station is approximately a 15-minute walk. The path is mostly flat and well-maintained.

Taxi

A taxi from the center of Hinterglemm to the Westgipfelbahn valley station is a short ride, costing approximately €10-15. Taxi stands are located in the town center.

Free parking is available at the Westgipfelbahn valley station. During peak season, parking may be limited.

The summit is also close to the Schattberg X-press, offering further exploration opportunities. For those seeking a more relaxed experience, the mountaintop restaurant offers refreshments with a view.During the winter months, the Westgipfelbahn transforms into a skier's paradise, providing access to intermediate and advanced slopes. From the summit, skiers can connect to the entire Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, one of Austria's largest ski areas. The lift is equipped to carry passengers and dogs (with muzzles).
