Getting There

  • Bus

    From Salzburg, head to the main bus station (Zentraler Omnibusbahnhof or ZOB) which is located right next to the train station. Take the bus number 150 towards St. Gilgen. The journey will take approximately 50 minutes. Get off at the St. Gilgen bus stop. From there, follow the signs to the Zwölferhorn cable car station, which is about a 10-minute walk uphill.

  • Train and Cable Car

    Start at Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station) and take a regional train towards St. Wolfgang. After about 30 minutes, get off at the stop called 'St. Wolfgang-White Horse Inn'. From there, walk to the nearby St. Wolfgang cable car station. Take the cable car up to the Zwölferhorn summit. The views from the Aussichtsplattform are stunning!

  • Ferry

    From Salzburg, take a bus or tram to the city of Wolfgangsee (around 30 minutes). Once you reach the ferry terminal, board the ferry that goes to St. Gilgen. The ferry ride takes about 30 minutes. Upon arriving in St. Gilgen, walk approximately 10 minutes to the Zwölferhorn cable car station and take the cable car to the Aussichtsplattform Zwölferhorn.
