    Walking

    If you are starting from Mirabell Palace, exit the palace gardens and head towards the Mirabellplatz. From there, walk straight on to the Rainerstraße. Follow the Rainerstraße until you reach the junction with the Salzach river. Cross the river using the Makartsteg Bridge, which will give you a great view of the city. Once you are across the bridge, continue straight until you reach the large square at Herbert-von-Karajan-Platz. The square is located at Herbert-von-Karajan-Platz 11.

    Public Transport - Bus

    From Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (the main train station), take bus number 2 towards 'Salzburg Aigen'. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at the 'Herbert-von-Karajan-Platz' stop. Once you exit the bus, you will be right at the square. It's a short walk to explore the area.

    Public Transport - Tram

    From the Mozartsteg tram stop, take tram number 1 towards 'Salzburg South'. After 5 stops, get off at 'Herbert-von-Karajan-Platz'. The square is immediately in front of you as you exit the tram.

    If you are near the Getreidegasse, walk towards the Residenzplatz. From Residenzplatz, head towards the DomQuartier and continue straight until you reach the square. It is about a 15-minute walk.
