Getting There

• Public Bus

  From Salzburg, head to the Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station). Take bus number 150 towards 'St. Gilgen' directly from the bus terminal outside the station. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes, and buses run frequently throughout the day. Once you arrive in St. Gilgen, get off at the 'St. Gilgen, Seilbahn' bus stop. From there, the Zwölferhorn Seilbahn station is just a short walk away, following the signs leading to the cable car station.

• Train and Bus Combination

  Start at Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station) and take a train to 'Wolfgangsee' station. The train journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Wolfgangsee, you will need to switch to bus number 150 towards 'St. Gilgen.' This bus will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the 'St. Gilgen, Seilbahn' bus stop, and you will find the Zwölferhorn Seilbahn station a short walk away.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from any location within Salzburg to the Zwölferhorn Seilbahn in St. Gilgen. The ride will take about 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Ensure you provide the driver with the address '5340 St. Gilgen' or simply say 'Zwölferhorn Seilbahn.' This is the most convenient option if you are traveling with luggage or in a group.

• Bicycle

  For the more adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Salzburg and cycle to St. Gilgen. The route is approximately 30 km and follows the scenic Lake Wolfgang. Make your way to the lakeside path, which is well-marked, and enjoy the views along the way. Once you reach St. Gilgen, follow the signs to the Zwölferhorn Seilbahn station, which is located near the lake.
