Once in St. Gilgen, park at one of the public parking areas near the village center. From there, head towards the Wolfgangsee lakefront, where you can find signs directing you to the hiking trails leading to Falkensteinwand. The drive from Salzburg should take about 30 minutes.

To reach Falkensteinwand using public transportation, take a train from Salzburg to the St. Gilgen station. Trains run regularly, and the journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Upon arrival at St. Gilgen, you can either walk to the lakefront (about 15 minutes) or take a local bus towards the hiking trailhead. The bus fare is around €2-3. Follow the trail signs along the lake until you reach the base of Falkensteinwand.
