After about 10 kilometers, follow the signs for Dachstein in the direction of Dachstein South Face (Dachstein Südwand). You will reach the parking area at the base of Dachstein, which is generally well signposted. Parking fees may apply, typically ranging from €5 to €10 per day, depending on the season.

To reach Dachstein using public transport, start at the Schladming bus station. Take the bus number 180 toward Ramsau am Dachstein. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes and costs around €3-€5. Get off at the 'Dachsteinbahn' bus stop. From here, you can take the Dachstein cable car (Dachstein Seilbahn) to the summit. The cable car ticket costs approximately €40 for a round trip.
