Car
If you're driving from Schladming, take the B320 road heading north towards Obertraun. Continue for approximately 30 km until you reach the town of Obertraun. Once in Obertraun, follow signs for 'Dachstein' and head towards the Dachstein-Hunerkogel cable car station. There is parking available near the cable car station, but it may incur a fee (around €5-€10 for the day). From the cable car station, take the cable car up to the Dachstein glacier area.

From Schladming, take the bus (Line 961) towards Obertraun. The bus ride takes about 30-40 minutes. Get off at the 'Obertraun Dachsteinseilbahn' stop, which is the cable car station. The bus ticket costs around €4-€6. Once you arrive at the cable car station, purchase a ticket for the Dachstein cable car (prices vary, approximately €37 for a round trip). Take the cable car up to the Dachstein glacier area.
