From Schladming, take bus line 971, 972, 973, or 974 to the 'Hochwurzen Gipfelbahn Talstation' bus stop, located directly at the base of the Gipfelbahn Hochwurzen cable car. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the cable car. A single bus fare costs approximately €2-4. With a valid ski pass, the ski bus is free during the day.

From Schladming, follow the L722 provincial highway to Rohrmoos. Continue to the Hochwurzen cable car valley terminal. Parking is available at the valley terminal. Parking fees vary, but expect to pay around €5-10 for a day. Note that parking can be limited during peak season.

From Schladming, it's a 10.8 km (2 hour 9 minute) walk to Hochwurzen. Follow the hiking trails. Once you arrive at the valley terminal, you can take the Gipfelbahn Hochwurzen cable car to the summit. A round trip ticket on the cable car costs approximately €30.50 for adults and €17.00 for children.
