Public Transport
From Semmering train station, Semmering Hirschenkogel is approximately a 20-25 minute walk. Alternatively, take the RUFbus Semmering-Rax, a bookable on-demand bus service, from the train station to the base of Hirschenkogel. Booking in advance via their app or hotline is required. A taxi from the train station is also an option; expect to pay around €15-€20. Costs: * RUFbus: Free or low cost, booking required. * Taxi: €15-€20.
Driving
If driving, follow signs for Carolusstraße in Semmering. Semmering Hirschenkogel is located at Carolusstraße 3, 2680 Semmering-Kurort. Cost: * Free parking is available at the valley station.
Cable Car
The final ascent to the Hirschenkogel summit is via the 8-seater gondola lift. Costs: * Single ride: €21 for adults, €18 for youth/seniors, and €15 for children. * Uphill and downhill ride: €29 for adults, €24 for youth/seniors, and €19 for children. These tickets also include admission to the Millennium Observatory, Hirschi playground, and hiking routes.
