Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Ötztal Bahnhof, take bus #320 towards Sölden. The bus departs frequently (every 30 minutes) and the ride to Sölden takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Get off at the Sölden Postamt (Post Office) which is centrally located. From there, the Gletscherstadion is a short walk. A single ticket costs around €6-8, but is free with a Guest Card. During the ski season, free ski buses also operate in Sölden.

  • Taxi

    From anywhere in Sölden, a taxi is a convenient way to reach the Gletscherstadion. Taxis are readily available, or can be called via a ride hailing app. A 5km ride within Sölden will cost approximately €12. The base fare is €5, plus €1.4 per kilometer. Expect higher rates during peak season and at night.

  • Walking

    From the center of Sölden (e.g., the Post Office), the Gletscherstadion is easily accessible on foot. Follow Dorfstraße in the direction of the Giggijochbahn. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes and relatively flat. This is a great option if you are staying close to the center and want to avoid parking fees or waiting for public transport.

    From the main road (B186), follow signs to Sölden. Once in Sölden, follow signs for the Giggijochbahn or Gaislachkoglbahn, which are located at either end of the town and provide access to the Gletscherstadion area. Paid parking is available at the Freizeit Arena Sölden and at the base of the Giggijoch and Gaislachkogl lifts. Parking costs €4 for 4 hours, €6 for a full day (8am-8pm), or €16 for 24 hours. Night parking (8pm-8am) is €10 in parking garages. Free parking for 30 minutes is available.
