Car
If you are driving to Schlossberg Graz, head towards Graz city center. Use the A9 motorway and take the exit for Graz-Nord. Follow signs for Graz Zentrum, which will lead you into the city. Once in the city, follow signs for Schlossberg. There is parking available at nearby garages such as 'Parkhaus am Hauptplatz' or 'Parkhaus Schlossberg' (address: Am Schlossberg, 8010 Graz). Note that parking fees typically range from €1.50 to €2.50 per hour.
Public Transportation
To reach Schlossberg Graz using public transportation, take a train or bus to Graz Hauptbahnhof (the main train station). From there, you can catch tram line 1, 3, or 6 towards the city center. Get off at the 'Jakominiplatz' stop. From Jakominiplatz, it's a short walk to Schlossberg. Follow the signs towards Schlossberg, and you will find the entrance to the funicular railway or the footpath leading up the hill. The tram ticket costs around €2.00.
Funicular
Once you reach the base of Schlossberg, you can take the Schlossbergbahn funicular to the top if you prefer not to walk. The funicular station is located near the entrance at the foot of the hill. Tickets for the funicular cost around €2.50 for a single ride. The ride provides stunning views of Graz, making it a worthwhile experience.
Walking
If you enjoy walking, you can hike up to Schlossberg from the city center. From Jakominiplatz, head towards the Schlossberg hill, which is about a 15-20 minute walk. Follow the paths that wind up through the park; there are several trails to choose from. This is a pleasant and scenic way to reach the top, but be prepared for some steep sections.
