From Salzburg city center, walk to the Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station). Take bus line 840 towards Berchtesgaden. The bus ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Train and Bus

Start at Salzburg Hauptbahnhof and take a regional train towards Berchtesgaden. The train ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Berchtesgaden, follow the signs to the bus station. Board bus line 838, which will take you directly to the Kehlsteinhaus. The total journey time from Salzburg to Kehlsteinhaus, including transfers, is around 1.5 hours.
