    The Helbling House is located at Herzog-Friedrich-Straße 10 in the heart of Innsbruck's Old Town, making it easily accessible on foot. From the Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof (main train station), walk north along Südtiroler Platz, then turn left onto Adamgasse. Continue onto Marktgraben, then turn right onto Herzog-Friedrich-Straße. The Helbling House will be on your left, across from the Golden Roof. The walk is approximately 15 minutes. No costs are involved.

Its origins trace back to the 15th century when it was constructed as a typical townhouse. However, it was the 18th century that truly defined its character.In 1732, Anton Gigl transformed the building with a lavish Rococo facade. This "icing-like" ornamentation includes ornate bows, decorative window frames, oriels, tympana, masks, sculptures, and shells. The intricate details capture the light and create a unique visual experience. The house is named after Sebastian Helbling, who owned the building and ran a café there from 1800 to 1827.Today, the Helbling House remains a prominent attraction in Innsbruck's Old Town. While the upper floors consist of private apartments, the ground floor hosts various shops. Though visitors cannot tour the residential areas, the exterior provides ample opportunity to admire the detailed Rococo artistry.
