Mauthausen Memorial Tour

Excellent guide for a powerful and worthwhile visit. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend this tour! Johann is an exceptionally well studied, passionate, and knowledgeable guide to take you through a powerful and moving visit. He communicated perfectly about travel arrangements and provided a very comfortable journey through the area en route to the memorial site, with many stories along the way. We learned so much and are so glad we included this experience in our European vacation plans while visiting from the US. To walk the exact path that concentration camp victims - which included not only Jews but other marginalized groups - walked and see where such horrors in history took place, all while neighboring villagers went about their daily life, was incredibly powerful. To see where tens of thousands of men, women, and children were tortured, enslaved, abused, and perished in unfathomable ways was more profound than we could put into words. We are grateful for Johann’s commitment and dedication to the Mauthausen Memorial and the opportunity and privilege it was to visit with him. May our world never forget. May we never become tolerant of or indifferent to the antisemitism that still exists today. “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

The Monuments Men: Altaussee Salt Mine&Hallstatt Private Day Trip

Wonderful Knowledgeable Guide

Jenny was sooo informative, not only about the salt mine and Hallstatt, but Austrian history and culture. We saw things that we know we would miss without her. I don’t believe other guides were showing/explaining to a level she did.
