Once you arrive at 'Wien Hauptbahnhof', follow the signs to the U-Bahn (subway) station. Take the U1 line (red line) towards 'Stephansplatz'. After 3 stops, get off at 'Karlsplatz'. From Karlsplatz, exit the station and walk towards Opernring; the Vienna State Opera will be on your left at Opernring 2.

Begin your journey at 'Eisenstadt Bahnhof'. Purchase a ticket to 'Wien Hauptbahnhof'. The train runs frequently, so check the schedule for the next departure. The ride will take about 45 minutes. Take the U1 line (red line) towards 'Stephansplatz' and get off at 'Karlsplatz' (3 stops).
